Seeing God’s Nature in the Call of Moses

WOW what a God we serve. I am looking at this again today and marveling at God.

Praise Through Trials

Last week I wrote about how Moses was called and how he had his eyes on himself and not on God (see here). When I read about this in Exodus 3-4, I was also struck by how God reveals different aspects of himself as he demonstrates to Moses that he is the Almighty God. As I reflected on the passage I was stirred to praise as I marvelled at what a wonderful God we serve.

Moses asks God what his name is and God says ‘‘…I AM WHO I AM…’ (Exodus 3:14). God is incomparable (Isaiah 40:18) to anything else in all of creation therefore he has to define himself by himself.
